Site Engineer/Setting Out Engineer

MGR Recruitment are fortunate to be representing one of the leading Civil contractors in their search for an experienced Site Engineer/Setting Out Engineer to join their prestigious heavy Civil Project in Banbury, which is an integral part of the ongoing HS2 initiative. The scope of work is between Chiltern Tunnel and Long Itchington Wood and includes viaducts, green tunnels, road diversions, overbridges, and around 30 million cubic metres of excavation.
As a Site Engineer/Setting Out Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the success of the project.
Role and Responsibilities:
1. Precise setting out, as built, RC Frame and surveying
2. Conducting thorough quality control checks and maintaining comprehensive records.
3. Assisting senior engineers and project managers in ensuring all operations are carried out safely and efficiently.
Qualifications and Experience needed:
1. A valid CSCS card is a mandatory requirement
2. Proven experience working as a Setting Out Engineer or Site Engineer
3. A minimum of 3 years of experience in Civil, Building, and Groundwork projects within the UK
4. Proficiency in the use of surveying instruments
5. Familiarity with method statements and risk assessments
6. Good knowledge of Quality Assurance (QA) processes and the ability to manage onsite paperwork
7. Previous experience working on civil projects is advantageous but not essential.
