Woodpecker Court is an Ofsted Outstanding Post-16 Specialist Education Provision and we are looking for a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join our team.
This is a great opportunity for an individual who is motivated to inspire learning in students with varied SEN needs, providing them with the support they need to overcome barriers to learning and helping them to achieve their full potential.
Your work will be challenging and rewarding in equal measure, and you will be working in a provision where we maintain a strong safeguarding culture and quality is always top of our agenda.
We are looking for a Learning Support Assistant who can work with individual and small groups of students, preparing resources and building positive relationships with students to promote interaction and learning. Our Learning Support Assistants offer essential support to our Tutors to deliver activities, supporting the pupils with routines, transitions, and behaviour management.
* Unique 16-acre outdoor learning environment: Engage in practical sessions, including working with farm animals, horticulture, or within the catering kitchen.
* Supportive community: Join our community and help students grow into confident young people ready for their next steps in life.
* Core values: Our 3 core values are respect, resilience, and relationships, all underpinned by routine.
Experience of working with pupils with SEN would be an advantage but not essential.
Hours: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, 8.45am to 14.30pm; Tuesday 8.45am to 16.45pm. Hours can be negotiated where there is a business need.
Contract type: Term Time only (39 weeks).
