Working on large, complex transport infrastructure projects, the Commercial Manager will require knowledge and experience in contract management and procurement within the construction industry.
You will be expected to utilise experience and knowledge of supplier relationships and contract management to drive efficiencies in the supply chain.
Working as part of projects and programmes to deliver the strategic aims of their designated portfolios.
The Commercial Manager shall be educated to a degree standard in a related subject or close to completion of a relevant degree.
The key services offered by the Commercial Manager are anticipated as, but not limited to the following;
Key responsibilities:
o Manage, monitor and report on commercial and cost reporting aspects of allocated projects and portfolio of works.
o Support the programme and project teams to ensure full compliance with contract and corporate governance rules.
o The Commercial Manager will lead the on commercial review and valuation of contractor applications for payment in accordance with contractual terms and conditions and contractual entitlement.
o The Commercial Manager will provide proactive advice and guidance on all change including proposed scope changes.
o Produce appropriate commercial correspondence and contractual notices for issue in accordance with contractual conditions.
o Contract administration of industry standard and bespoke forms of contract including NEC and ICC terms.
o Ensure that commercial records are retained and archived properly.
o Manage the final account settlements.
o Support in the pre-contract procurement of suppliers/main contractors and consultants for projects and programmes.
Essential:
* Degree qualified or equivalent in construction commercial management.
* Knowledge of NEC Contracts is desirable.
* Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
