Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Salesforce Developer with a strong background in the Ministry of Justice or policing sectors to join our team for a 6-12 month contract. The ideal candidate will have expertise in designing, developing, and maintaining Salesforce applications in a public sector environment, with specific experience working on systems supporting justice or law enforcement functions. This role requires the ability to work in a highly regulated, secure environment, and candidates must have or be willing to undergo the necessary security clearance (NVPP3 or equivalent).
Key Responsibilities:
* Salesforce Development: Design, develop, and implement Salesforce solutions, including custom applications, integrations, and automation processes, ensuring they meet business requirements and compliance standards.
* Customization & Configuration: Customize Salesforce features such as objects, workflows, process builder, validation rules, Apex, and Visualforce to meet client requirements.
* Data Management: Handle data integration, migration, and cleansing tasks, ensuring high-quality and accurate data within the Salesforce platform.
* Collaboration: Work closely with business analysts, stakeholders, and end users to translate functional requirements into technical solutions.
* Security & Compliance: Ensure Salesforce applications and configurations adhere to public sector security policies, particularly regarding data privacy and access control.
* Troubleshooting & Support: Provide technical support, troubleshooting, and maintenance for existing Salesforce solutions.
* Documentation & Reporting: Create and maintain clear documentation for configurations, processes, and system modifications to ensure knowledge sharing and compliance with audit standards.
* Stakeholder Engagement: Regularly engage with project stakeholders, ensuring clear communication regarding project progress, issues, and solutions.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
* Salesforce Development: Proven experience in developing and customizing Salesforce applications (Apex, Lightning, Visualforce, etc.) in a public sector context (Ministry of Justice, Police, or similar).
* Security Clearance: Must hold or be eligible to undergo NVPP3 or an equivalent level of security clearance.
* Experience with Public Sector: Prior experience working in a government or public sector environment, particularly in law enforcement, justice, or related fields, is highly desirable.
* Salesforce Certifications: Salesforce Certified Developer (e.g., Platform Developer I/II) is preferred.
* Integration Expertise: Experience with integrating Salesforce with third-party systems and data sources using REST, SOAP, and other integration tools.
* Problem-Solving: Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to identify and resolve technical issues quickly and effectively.
* Attention to Detail: Ability to work within a compliance-driven environment, paying close attention to security and data privacy requirements.
* Team Collaboration: Experience working as part of a team in an Agile development environment, collaborating with business analysts and project managers.
* Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Desirable Skills:
* Experience with Police / Justice Sector Applications: Familiarity with systems used in the Ministry of Justice, law enforcement, or criminal justice domains.
* Apex & Lightning: In-depth experience with Apex classes, triggers, Lightning Components, and Visualforce pages.
* Agile Methodology: Familiarity with Agile development processes and tools like Jira or Confluence.
* Additional Certifications: Salesforce Certified Platform Developer or Salesforce Certified Administrator.
