This position is a Sales Support role based in Rochester. The ideal candidate will be an integral part of the sales team, supporting and driving sales efforts to achieve business goals. Description Building enduring relationships and ensuring the highest levels of customer service are provided to suppliers and customers. Supporting the Commercial Sales Team and collaborating with the wider internal departments to ensure a proactive sales support. Responsible for a select number of active customers, ensuring all their sales needs are met through their resource planning system. Regularly contacting existing clients to build new orders, and exploring new sales opportunities which might fit their needs. Producing client quotations via ERP system and answering all new enquiries and business leads Responsible for sending out all product sample requests, and collaborating closely with the Production team to prepare, pack and dispatch. Monitoring and analysing sales conversations from calls made, sample send outs and reporting on customer service metrics for the CDMs Ensuring all customer and sales administration for the team is accurate and up to date on the ERP system. Supporting the CDMs as needed and following up on any actions required. Profile A successful Sales Support should have: Have sales administrative experience and ideally have managed some of their own customers. Have a good working knowledge of Excel, used customer databases or ERP systems before and is familiar with using MS Office applications. Ideally has experience within FMCG / Manufacturing / Logistics industry. Evidence customer relationship building and show real life examples of how they exceed customer service expectations. Have excellent communications skills Be highly organised and accurate, with good prioritisation and planning skills. Be flexible and adaptable to variable workloads at pace in a busy sales environment. Be friendly, engaging and professional, who takes great joy in working as part of a wider team and supporting others.
