Job summary An opportunity has arisen for a Senior Medical Laboratory Assistant to join our team in the Immunology Department of our ISO15189:2012 accredited laboratory at University Hospitals Dorset NHS Foundation Trust. We provide diagnostic and monitoring services to patients across a wide geographical area and support our acute services across both the Royal Bournemouth Hospital and Poole General Hospital within the Trust. We are a supportive Trust interested in developing our employees, all relevant training will be provided and there are opportunities for continuing professional development for the successful applicant. The One Dorset Pathology service will bring together Dorset County Hospital, Poole Hospital and The Royal Bournemouth and Christchurch Hospitals to deliver a single, efficient and high-quality pathology service. It will provide clinicians, patients and carers with a consistent and high standard of service across the area and maximise efficiency in the use of resources. The new service is a formal collaboration and is included in one of the 29 national pathology networks known as the 'South 6' network that includes: Hampshire Hospitals, Isle of Wight, Portsmouth, Salisbury and Southampton.
