Chief Financial Officer
Luxury hospitality business
London based with travel as needed
circa £120-140,000 salary plus 50% bonus and benefits
We are currently looking for an ambitious, enthusiastic, and commercially astute Chief Financial Officer to join an ambitious luxury hospitality business.
About the Role
Reporting to the CEO, as Chief Financial Officer you will oversee the finance function (currently six people) for the business, including cash flow and financial planning, credit control, commercial finance, accounts receivable and accounts payable, international compliances as well as analysing the company’s financial strength and weaknesses and proposing corrective actions. This is a key and pivotal role within the Senior Leadership Team.
Responsibilities
* Take the lead in all financial matters across the business
* Focus on business partnering, planning, budgeting and resource management for the business.
* Manage the operational financial administration and be responsible for developing a financial strategy
* Implement finance procedures, processes and systems and ensure financial updates
* Create insightful financial information that will direct business planning and performance
* Develop and manage budgets, projections and track financial performance against projections.
* Take the lead in the preparation and delivery of external financial reporting and all the related processes
* Conduct financial modelling for investment opportunities for entering new territories.
* Be abreast of tax and regulatory compliance and jurisdictions within the regions/countries the company operates
Qualifications
Professional accountancy qualification – ACA, ACCA, or CIMA
Required Skills
* Preferably 3 years in a Chief Financial Officer or similar role.
* Experience working in luxury hospitality
* Strong experience in planning and managing complex, dynamic and challenging projects.
* A passion for managing and developing Finance team members.
* A strategic thinker with experience of engaging/managing multiple key stakeholders at varied business levels.
* A passionate self-starter with excellent leadership, communication skills and attention to detail; alongside being highly organised to run multiple projects at once.
* A forward looking ‘hands-on’ way of working, constantly questioning what is done, someone who has a resilient and agile approach
