About The Role
To appoint and manage a portfolio of suppliers to support and deliver the prestige and luxury strategy, developing product design, securing long term supply in line with sustainability, quality, cost and service criteria. Track supplier performance and manage performance in line with budget and business expectations.
Main Responsibilities
* Build a network of suppliers who can support IBHL’s luxury strategy
* Ensure our luxury supplier base has sustainability at the fore front of design solutions
* Build and maintain strong suppliers relationships and support the development and roll out of a Supplier performance management program
* Develop product design processes with supplier and IBHL Marketing and Packaging Technology teams
* Manage suppliers in line with purchasing policies and principles for your categories
* Track supplier performance against sustainability, quality, service and cost
* Ensure pricing negotiations deliver savings / costs in line with budget expectations
* Develop a pipeline of sustainability and or value engineering initiatives for your categories
* Work with the material schedulers to ensure items are delivered on time in full at the lowest cost and in accordance with agreed MOQ’s
* Act as a point of escalation for Material Schedulers, helping to overcome supply/delivery issues for your suppliers
* Collaborate with Packaging Technology to ensure material specifications, including handling criteria is shared across all areas relevant operational areas
* Hold regular supplier review meetings, using performance measures to identify improvement opportunities
* Work closely with Marketing, NPD, Finance and Packaging Development to deliver the innovation pipeline via the stage gate process
* Manage and own your professional development in order to achieve your work objectives and your career and personal goals.
About You
* Min 2-3 years’ experience in a category management, or buying role preferably within Prestige and bespoke products
* Basic understanding of end to end supply chain processes
* Numerically literate with ability to manage budgets and KPIs
* Ability to demonstrate good negotiating and influencing skills
* Good at building relationships and manging cross functional stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications/Experience
* Degree level qualification or equivalent experience
* Relevant vocational qualification (e.g. CIPS)
* Full (clean) driving Licence.
* Exposure to continuous improvement practices such as Lean, Six Sigma, TPM
* Experience of working with ERP and MRP systems
* Comfortable using Microsoft suite (Excel, Word, Powerpoint)
