Property Building Surveyor (Social Housing)
Horsham, West Sussex (Hybrid)
Are you an experienced Asset Management professional with surveying and/or trade experience looking for your next challenge in a customer-focused business with a strong social purpose? If so, Saxon Weald could be the place for you.
As a Property Surveyor, you will ensure the delivery of high-quality reactive and planned maintenance and improvement projects for our customers. This will include fault finding, recommending appropriate solutions, liaising with customers, and managing contractors to improve the condition of our property assets. General stock condition assessment will also be required.
You will already have gained valuable experience in the building and construction field and will get satisfaction from managing a variety of projects from start to finish, ensuring we deliver quality outcomes, value for money, and excellent customer service. You will have up-to-date knowledge of relevant legislation and experience in dealing with damp and mould cases effectively and with care.
We are looking for a dynamic and proactive Property Surveyor who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment. To be successful in this role you will need to:
* Have practical experience of managing maintenance and improvement projects
* Have a proven track record within the construction or building surveying industry
* Be able to proactively build good customer and contractor relationships
* Be highly organised, able to balance and prioritise the administrative requirements of your role with the hands-on and technical competence needed
* Have confidence in using in-house IT and data management systems (training will of course be provided)
* Have great attention to detail, excellent communication skills and work with the principle of ‘One Team’
* Housing Association experience would be an advantage
