Job Description
This role is designed to support the maintenance engineering teams at Bodycote's European facilities. The primary objective is to implement Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) and ensure the continuous operation of equipment while reducing incidents and breakdowns.
As part of this role, you will have the opportunity to travel extensively across Europe, with up to 60% of your time dedicated to visiting different sites.
Main Responsibilities
* Providing reactive and proactive support to maintenance engineering teams at Bodycote's European facilities.
* Driving the implementation of TPM to achieve seamless equipment operation and reduce downtime.
* Managing small-scale equipment improvement projects and conducting routine maintenance tasks.
* Ensuring the efficient operation of equipment by maintaining accurate records and managing spare parts inventory.
* Collaborating with contractors to perform scheduled maintenance and repairs.
* Developing and implementing standard operating procedures for the safe operation and maintenance of HIP units.
Requirements
* HND in electromechanical engineering or equivalent, combined with relevant hands-on experience.
* Proven expertise in mechanical breakdown repair and maintenance of plant, machinery, and services.
* Familiarity with compressor systems, gas handling, and electrical systems.
* Desirable experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and control systems.
* Excellent communication skills in English (German/French proficiency is advantageous).
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly those related to data management and reporting.
* Able to work collaboratively as part of a team, with a flexible approach and strong results-driven mindset.
* Willingsness to travel extensively across Europe (up to 60% of the time), holding necessary travel documents.
