The Role: Income Officer
As our Income Officer, youll be at the heart of ensuring our financial sustainability, helping to maximise rental and income collections while delivering compassionate, customer-centred service.
This is a flexible, agile working role that allows you to work 3 days remotely and 2 days in our Salford office, giving you the perfect balance of autonomy and collaboration.
What Youll Be Doing:
Proactively managing rent and service charge collections, ensuring we meet ambitious targets.
Providing tailored support to tenants and their advocates to ensure access to eligible income, including assisting with Housing Benefit applications and appeals.
Preventing arrears by building strong relationships with tenants, fostering trust, and taking timely action where needed.
Collaborating with colleagues to streamline processes and improve income recovery services.
Upholding regulatory standards and compliance across housing and rent policies.

What Were Looking For:
Were seeking someone with the passion and expertise to make a difference. Our ideal candidate will bring:
Knowledge of income collection policies and processes, with an understanding of rent charges and payment schedules.
Insight into the challenges faced by vulnerable people, particularly those with complex needs.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage empathetically and influence outcomes.
Proficiency in IT, particularly Microsoft Excel, and solid numerical skills.
Experience in social housing income collection and knowledge of housing regulation (desirable but not essential).
