Do you enjoy working with older Clients? Age Connects Cardiff & the Vale is looking for an individual who can manage and develop their existing foot care service to elderly people in the community. Although formal qualifications are not essential, experience of managing and leading a team is required along with knowledge of foot care. This role is ideally suited to someone with a proactive and positive approach and the ability to interact with people of all ages. Excellent communication skills and the ability to communicate information clearly and concisely is essential. The role will involve travelling throughout Cardiff and the Vale so a full driving licence and access to a car is also essential. Job purpose: To manage and develop Age Connects Foot Care Service, ensuring it is both a professional and profitable service, whilst leading a small team of nail technicians to ensure they meet their responsibilities within the delivery of the service. Main duties and responsibilities: To actively develop the nail cutting service, establishing new clinics increasing service profitability. To market and advertise the service to the wider public in order increase the Client base To recruit, train, supervise and provide leadership to a team of nail cutting staff and volunteers:Coordinate staff schedules ensuring cover for holidays and illness;Develop standards and policies for the service & not overstep the limits of simple nail cutting; Monitor team performance, listen to feedback, and resolve any issues or conflicts;Maintain strict financial controls and ensure the safe administration of nail cutting monies. To be responsible for the day-to-day delivery of the service including: Cutting toenails yourself;Handle enquiries, screening and booking appointments;Managing accurate records in the client & staff databases;Operating our autoclave & ordering and distributing stock;Provide reports to the Board of Trustees. Be responsible for internal and external communications, maintaining regular contact with customers, volunteers, social care professionals and other stakeholders. Build good working relationships with team members and other Age Connects staff and volunteers. Keeping up to date with learning and development, ensuring current legislation, codes of practice and guidance are followed. Take part in the organisation of management meetings as and when required. Maintain full and accurate records and reporting systems in accordance with legal requirements, and to ensure the effective running of the business.
