Your Purpose
Primary responsibility for ensuring the implementation of Quality and Food Safety compliance standards at Tadcaster Brewery. Accountable for maintaining robust systems and processes to effectively manage site risks, ensuring they comply with regulatory and business requirements and align with Global Systems and Standards. Tasked with training plant teams in Food Hygiene, HACCP, Auditing, and the principles of the World Class Supply Chain 2.0 Pillars. Focused on enhancing the Quality and Food Safety capabilities of Plant Operational teams. This role includes direct line management of the laboratory team and oversight of quality systems.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the implementation of Quality & Food Safety programs, ensuring compliance with Global Q&FS standards and regulatory requirements. As a Subject Matter Expert (SME), collaborate with site leadership to build awareness and capability for sustainable quality delivery. Provide training on BRC GS, FEMAS, Food Hygiene, HACCP, Auditing, Quality Pillar, and Sensory to quality and operational teams.
* Ensure timely and complete implementation of all Q&FS legal requirements. Drive continuous improvement in Quality KPIs and manage customer and consumer complaints. Oversee a robust, stress-tested recall and crisis management process. Support operations in identifying root causes, developing and enforcing SOPs to ensure consistent quality and food safety. Conduct internal audits and track corrective action progress.
* Actively contribute to the site leadership team, aligning site priorities with business goals and a zero-harm commitment to brands, customers, and consumers. Manage change at Tadcaster Brewery, ensuring governance and proper trial authorization. Build a skilled team to deliver impactful technical support with excellence.
* Collaborate with the Western European Compliance team as an SME to refine standards, assess methods, and liaise with suppliers. Deliver reports and align actions with internal stakeholders. Support Technical Innovation and operations teams by integrating Q&FS risk assessment and Trial Processes into process changes and new product launches.
About You
* Degree in a scientific, brewing or quality related discipline.
* Experience in the brewing industry or quality/food safety role and a strong understanding of quality control and quality assurance processes.
* Well-developed people leadership skills at a senior level.
* Analytical thinking.
