We have an exciting opportunity for a Trainee Planner to join our Construction Team, based from our Carlisle office - there has never been a better time to join! The Role As a Trainee Planner at Story Contracting you will support in producing, maintaining, updating and reporting programmes across various projects within the portfolio and in line with the contract requirements of the projects. Programmes are key to delivering projects within the required timescales and methodology and hence the Planner role is an integral part of the project team. With support during the Trainee stages you will be supported to then move to being a self-sufficient Planner. You will work with the Project and Site Management team and be able to pro-actively deliver project planning from tender stage through to successful completion of a project. This will be delivered by using planning software via Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project then exported to different formats depending on the reporting requirements. Training will be provided as required for different software packages. We are looking for people who are client focussed, and team focused as well as keen to build sustainable relationships through an honest and collaborative approach internally and externally. The role will be based between our regional office in Carlisle and on site working at various projects. Responsibilities during the trainee stages of the Trainee Planner role will be dependent on level of knowledge and training required however we are keen to hear from those interested in a Planning role be it at entry level or with experience.
