Technical Support Engineer at Coleherne Ltd
Preferred Experience / Qualifications:
1. Apprentice trained engineering fitter
2. 1 year of manufacturing or repair shop experience
3. 1 year of engineering fitting experience
4. Training in general safety and quality system awareness
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Identify and report defective components or potential quality issues to the team leader
2. De-burr, fit and assemble machined components according to works instructions
3. Precision hand-fitting and adjustment of mating parts on bearing assemblies
4. Perform dimensional and visual inspections ensuring products match technical drawings
5. Maximise production through the fitting shop by organising and managing time well
6. May perform a variety of other duties/tasks as production and business requires
7. This role sometimes involves working with others in manual handling tasks including lifting, carrying, and moving items up to 15kg
8. Must have previous bench fitting experience in an engineering workshop
9. Must be focussed on detail and quality assurance
10. Must have a good understanding and application of geometric dimensions, fits, and tolerances
11. Able to drill, countersink, and tap using a radial driller and other tools
12. Organised and must be able to work to tight deadlines
13. Experience with low-volume, high value, defect-free parts is essential
14. Forklift Truck Licence beneficial, but not essential
