Mental Health Support Worker - 37.5 hrs per week
Shifts will be either early / late – 7.45am, 8am 9am start – 2.45pm 9pm or 10pm finish. To work every other weekend.

The Role:
We provide individuals with practical and emotional care, enabling them to lead as ordinary a life as they can achieve. You will need to be flexible as you are required to work shifts including bank holidays, weekends, and potential sleep ins.
Main duties and responsibilities:
1. Supervise the day-to-day delivery of care, ensuring service users’ needs are met.
2. Responsible for the care, welfare, and safety of service users and the health and safety of staff.
3. Act as case coordinator for individual service users and participate in reviewing and updating support plans.
4. Participate in the recruitment and selection of staff within an equal opportunities framework.
5. Undertake monthly supervisions with staff and participate in the staff appraisal programme.
6. Act as a staff skills coach and undertake appropriate team building and training programmes.
7. Ensure compliance with legislation, Care Standards, and Company Policies and Procedures.
8. Prepare service user and staff reports, ensuring records are maintained and up-to-date.
Personal Characteristics:
1. Diploma in Health and Social Care or willingness to work towards one.
2. Experience in supporting adults with challenging behaviour, learning disabilities, and/or mental health issues.
3. Ability to keep calm under pressure.
4. Confidence to work alone or as part of a team.
5. Excellent communication skills.
6. Passion for working with vulnerable adults.
7. Desire and commitment to achieve high standards of safeguarding.
