W Talent are delighted to be partnering exclusively with a dynamic and rapidly growing company in Swindon who specialise in manufacturing a variety of crucial components for key industrial sectors.
As Purchasing & Planning Coordinator you'll support the buying team with essential administrative tasks, ensuring smooth and efficient procurement and supply chain processes.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Generate and process Purchase Orders for diverse industry components
2. Work with suppliers to manage lead times and minimum order quantities (MOQs), optimizing inventory levels
3. Support the buying team by handling administrative duties such as data entry in ERP/MRP systems and order tracking
4. Communicate with internal teams (engineering, production, logistics, procurement) to align order status with inventory needs
5. Monitor open orders and proactively resolve supplier delays, discrepancies, or shortages
6. Contribute to process improvements to enhance procurement and planning efficiencies
Key Requirements:
1. Prior administrative experience with ERP or MRP systems is preferred
2. Some purchasing or procurement exposure is desirable but not required
3. Excellent communication skills, with a collaborative approach for working with internal teams and suppliers
4. Positive attitude and eagerness to learn and grow
5. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in managing multiple tasks
