This role is available to current employees within the Facilities Directorate at the University of Leeds only
This role will be based on the University campus, with scope for it to be undertaken in a hybrid manner. We are open to discussing flexible working arrangements.
We have an exciting opportunity for our internal FD staff to apply for a secondment role of Development Project Manager. Are you customer focused and excited about delivering construction projects? Do you have experience of working in the construction sector?
We are looking for a professional and highly motivated person to work on an aged infrastructure capital investment programme of works across the main campus within our Facilities Directorate Development team.
Based on campus in the FD Building, the role will involve working closely alongside the estates engineering team on infrastructure matters and liaising with the faculty facilities managers, coordinating site access and construction works across our live buildings. You will need the skill set to read technical construction drawings and comment on technical solutions and have the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely to stakeholders. The role requires a strong engineering background in construction. Bringing effective influencing and negotiating skills and the proven ability to build strong relationships with senior stakeholders, you will manage varied tasks, juggle priorities, and deliver to tight timescales.
You will be responsible to the Head of Capital Development and the role will involve both membership of the Delivery Team alongside working directly with external project managers and design teams.
