An exciting opportunity has arisen for a passionate and enthusiastic Teacher of English to join a thriving and high-achieving secondary school situated in a beautiful rural location on the Hampshire-Berkshire border. With over 1000 students and rated Good by Ofsted, the school combines excellent facilities with a strong focus on teaching and learning.
The English Department is a dedicated team of experienced and committed teachers who strive to deliver an engaging and inclusive curriculum across Key Stages 3 and 4. The department has a history of strong GCSE outcomes in both English Language and Literature, and continues to build on student progress across all ability levels.
You’ll be joining a collaborative team that shares resources, values professional growth, and is proud of the supportive culture within the department. Lessons are taught in well-resourced classrooms, with access to modern teaching tools and a spacious staff work area. The department also engages with students and the wider community via social media and uses the ‘Educake’ platform for homework and revision.
