Responsibilities
Provide support and assistance to children in various settings, ensuring their safety and well-being.
Communicate effectively with the children, families, and other professionals to understand individual needs and preferences.
Assist in the development and implementation of personalised care plans tailored to each child's requirements.
Engage children in activities that promote learning, social interaction, and emotional development.
Drive to various locations as required for outings or appointments, ensuring safe transportation.
Maintain accurate records of care provided and any significant changes in behaviour or condition.
Collaborate with other support staff and professionals to ensure a holistic approach to care.
Utilise IT skills for documentation and communication purposes.
Qualifications
Previous experience working with children is highly desirable but not essential.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential for effective interaction with children and young people.
A valid full manual driving licence is essential to facilitate transportation needs.
Familiarity with creating and following care plans is an advantage.
IT proficiency is necessary for maintaining records and using relevant software tools.
A compassionate nature with a genuine desire to support others is crucial for success in this role.
A good sense of humour and ability to keep up with the newest lingo!
