As the High Cost Drug (HCD) System Software Programme Manager you will take on a key leadership role in the implementation, management and coordination of the HCD system to enable health boards and NHS Trust to monitor the prescribing of high-cost medicines and manage the ever-increasing complexities associated with their use. This will support appropriate and timely access to treatment for patients, in line with national clinical guidance. You will need to demonstrate excellent project management and leadership skills, with a proven ability to engage and collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams. You must be self motivated and highly organised, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Person Specification Qualifications Essential • Life Science degree/MSc post graduate qualification or equivalent level of knowledge Desirable • PRINCE II and/or Managing Successful Programmes (MSP) qualification Experience Essential • Expertise in project management and service improvement and transformation • Expertise in research techniques, data analysis and interpretation and presentation of findings • Experience of working with multi-disciplinary teams Desirable • Experience of process evaluation and development Skills Essential • Able to write project initiation documents, business cases, strategic plans, dashboard reports, policies and procedures Desirable • Sound IT skills Knowledge Essential • Significant knowledge and understand of Programme Management principles, methodology and processes. • Understanding of guideline development and Health Technology Appraisal methodology
