Evaluate evolving designs in order to identify conflicts with Manufacturing Capability and Capacity Participate in identifying and developing new manufacturing methods in support of evolving designs Carry out investigations into the full range of Design/Make challenges and develop and prepare solutions, individually or as a member the Producibility and Project Teams Identify the manufacturing implications of emerging designs and undertake any necessary remedial or improvement actions Plan, control and deliver assigned projects or work packages and input as required to cross-functional project investigations, ensuring requirements are delivered to plan Assess any implications of sub-contract delivered items on the overall manufacturing process as required Support the identification of business opportunities and preparation of bids in area(s) of expertise to facilitate the development of the high quality bids. Maintain a high level of expertise in relevant technical areas, develop skills and capabilities to be able to provide effective services ,seeking and sharing good practice and knowledge to continuously improve practices, and supply technical support and expertise to others as required Make engineering decisions within own sphere of responsibility and delegated authority Support the Manufacturing System Controller during the development phase of a programme Identify risk and develop aversion strategies associated with evolving design and proposed manufacturing methodologies Support in house and supplier design reviews as required Support Development Hardware manufacture as required Actively support and contribute to all industrial validation activities You will be working with a small multi-disciplinary team of dedicated engineers in a fast-paced but friendly and inclusive manufacturing environment. The team has a great mix of personnel all striving to meet the challenge of delivering the manufacturing test architecture and industrial capability for NPI programmes.
