Quality Governance Team Leader Salary: From £49,047 - £53,999 This opportunity, based at our Prestwick site offers: - 37 hour working week (half day Friday) - Shift premiums up to 33%, where applicable - Overtime at time and a half, where applicable - 33 days holiday per year, rising with service - Annual Bonus related to company performance - Defined contribution pension scheme (default contributions; 4% employee and 8% employer) - Virtual GP Service 365 days per year - Employee Assistance Program - A wide range of flexible benefits - Death in service payment (default 4 times basic salary) - Professional development and growth - Free car parking - And more (https://spiritaero.icims.com/icims2/servlet/icims2?moduleAppInert&actiondownload&id187171&hashed1809974432) Responsibilities - Produce plans and co-ordinate activities to periodically achieve successful company approval/re-approval to customer and external regulatory authority requirements. - Ensure professional Quality Governance plans/manuals are prepared, issued and maintained. - Institute the necessary systems and procedures to continuously review the accuracy and applicability of Quality Governance documentation and co-ordinate its revision and updating. - Devise, plan and co-ordinate a programme of audits of the Quality Governance system covering all areas of the business. - Establish and maintain a system of management reviews of Quality Governance which meet the regulatory and appropriate Business requirements - Regularly report both written and verbal on the overall performance of the business with relation to Quality Governance. - Implement and administer and continuously improve key Quality Governance systems. - Co-ordinate Quality Governance activities in support of customer enquiries. - Responsible for ensuring that training and development plans are established and monitored for all team members. - On behalf of the Supplier Quality / Business Assurance Manager assist in the adherence to the labour and overheads budget through the allocation of labour and Non labour resources. - Establish the generation and deployment of Quality Metrics to support the business. - Discharge all people management tasks. Qualifications Knowledge, Skills and Experience - Having worked in a quality and/or engineering related role for a period of at least 5 years - Preferably be qualified to HNC / HND level in Quality or related Engineering discipline and/or have relevant experience in Quality Management - Preferably AS9100 Lead Auditor qualified through recognised certification body - Preferably conversant with industry regulatory authority approvals & certification requirements (AS9100, CAA production organisation approvals & Nadcap) - Experience of root cause analysis and corrective actions (RCCA) & Continuous - Improvement methodology. Knowledge & ability to deploy the Quality Toolset - Excellent communication skills with the ability to interface at all levels - Experience in Quality Management and working to deadlines - Good communication skills with the ability to interface at all levels - Ability to work on own initiative and be an effective member of a team Decision Making Authority - The job holder is likely to have some responsibility for direct reports, indirect reports and contract staff. Will be responsible for the leadership of others, for co-ordinating supervision of team member; Authorising Audit Reports and Operator Approvals; scheduling hours, checking results, taking actions to ensure quality standards are met and conducting performance assessments on others. - Decisions which affect their own job will occasionally require approval.
