Project: Mace has been appointed as the Lead Project Controls / PMO team for a large-scale complex government programme. Mace Consult will provide Project Controls / PMO services for the new build construction work of multiple secure sites throughout the UK. This role will design and capture data in relation to the construction millstones of this programme including cost, time, and other deliverables. The successful candidate will be involved in improving the consistency, predictability and efficiency of the programme delivery, is highly customer-focused - outward and upward and that these are consistent with customer expectations. The role will ensure that the operational issues of the Project Controls / PMO are managed, focusing on the project interface with project leaders, project managers, planners, cost managers, project teams, and interface issues. Your responsibilities will include: Good working knowledge of EVM and project controls methodologies. Advising on complex requirements and communicate analysis and corrective measures effectively. Managing projects controls delivery of medium/high complexity projects/programmes. Playing a key role in multidisciplinary teams and take lead role in creating plans or analysing trends using numerical and statistical techniques. As a project controls specialist, stays up to date with key industry / professional trends. Leading the Change Control Process, contribution to the change board meetings and effective communication with the SRO and stakeholders. Providing effective and timely advice to clients through providing basic commentary and analysis. Focusing on attention to details and checking project controls inputs, recording and reports produced. About you You have HND or equivalent qualification in engineering, construction, quantity surveying or another related field. You have an understanding of cost management methodologies and techniques. You have the ability to understand and use cost management software. You have a good understanding of earned value analysis. You have experience on a major construction project. You can build lasting client relationships and provide support to strong, motivated teams. You have proven relevant experience in project management or project controls environment in a similar role in a construction or consultancy background. .
