The role
As a Leading Technician (TMEC), you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary.
Day-to-day, you’ll Support military training across RAF Shawbury and it’s parented responsibilities with the control of the Testing and Measuring Equipment Centre in line with the individual site contracts.
1. Work within the Testing Measuring Equipment Centre to test tools/equipment parameters and complete relevant paperwork so equipment can be sent to third parties for use.
2. Liaise with stakeholders and clients to ensure the smooth running of the unit.
3. Be trained on military software to effectively complete day-today tasks.
4. Influence and deliver better outcomes in line with business requirements.
This role is full time and is based on site at RAF Shawbury working a 9-day fortnight (72hrs over 9 days, week 1= 32hrs, week 2= 40hrs), with flexibility of your chosen day off on week 1.
Essential experience of the Leading Technician (TMEC)
5. Electrical or Mechanical Technician background, with calibration.
6. Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage and influence people from all backgrounds and at all levels.
7. Computer Literate.
