The clinical duties of the post include the following: The post holder will work predominantly on an in-patient General Medicine ward The wards are supported by very engaged nursing staff that have expertise across general medicine. They work closely with our medical team and strive to provide excellent care for our patients in keeping with our Trusts vision of Patient First. The postholder will be responsible for day to day in-patient care and supervision of junior medical staff. There will be the opportunity to become a clinical and educational supervisor to help support our junior teams. In addition, we have recruited Physicians Associates and there is an excellent opportunity to help further develop these roles in a time where alternative modes of delivering in patient care are needed. Be an active member of the Internal Medicine Team contributing to regular departmental meetings, service development, audit and governance. The department has an active role in audit and audits activity and quality on an ongoing basis. We have an ongoing education programme for junior doctors, GPs and nurses.
