More about the Residential Property Team
Led by Mike Wilson (Partner and Chair of the Property Division), our Lymington-based team is part of our wider Residential Property Team. This portion of the team is well-renowned for providing legal advice on a wide variety of residential property transactions, particularly those of a higher value, and often involving additional complexities such as complex financial arrangements, very short timescales, listed buildings and large portions of land. While based in the idyllic Lymington office, our team are able to (and regularly do) advise on transactions in London, the South East and further afield.
Our team pride themselves on their client-centric approach; they recognise the importance of fully understanding a client’s objectives and ensuring they receive an efficient, pragmatic, and dedicated service regardless of the complexity of their matter. This approach paves the way for repeat instructions from returning clients and their families, and there are numerous examples of the team servicing multiple generations of the same family.
Day to Day:
As a Legal Admin Assistant, you will play a crucial role by providing support to our specialist lawyers on a wide range of tasks, ensuring they are able to work at optimum efficiency and deliver the right outcomes for their clients.
* You will support the Residential Property Team with a broad range of administrative tasks, including the preparation of engagement letters, filing opening and associated due diligence, document production, and general assistance to the team as necessary.
* You will assist and support more senior members of the team with work or tasks as required.
* You will assist with arranging appointments, as well as other internal and external meetings.
* You will be responsible for accurate photocopying and scanning, as well as the management of incoming and outgoing post.
* You will handle telephone enquiries, ensuring accurate details are taken and passed on to the relevant lawyer for follow up.
* You will help to manage the lawyers’ diaries by ensuring important information is added, including meetings and deadlines.
What we look for:
Our Firm is built on the value of being “human first” and, because of that, we are looking to attract those who have a passion for delivering excellent standards of client service, and the drive to continuously learn and improve. We are ideally looking for:
* Individuals with fantastic communication skills and the ability to engage effectively with both clients and colleagues.
* Initiative for self-improvement, and a willingness to get stuck into new tasks and challenges required to meet individual and department objectives.
* A proactive and collaborative work ethic.
* The ability to time manage and prioritise workload to meet deadlines.
* A willingness to get “stuck in” and support others across the team when needed.
* We care deeply and as such you will adopt a highly-attentive and client-focused approach to your duties.
