Position: Regional Sales Manager, EMEA
Department: Knowles Precision Devices Sales & Marketing
Reports to: Sr. Director of Global Sales
The Regional Sales Manager EMEA is mainly responsible for growing sales of EMEA region through developing business in industrial market and managing rep/distributor partners. This position has no immediate direct reports and reports to the Sr. Director of Global Sales.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Define both the potential and existing industrial accounts. Develop strategic plan that will position the company's services and products to maximize market share in both.
2. Provide support to reps and distributors based on knowledge of products and applications, and support Business Development Managers growing other vertical markets in EMEA, e.g. defense, medical, etc.
3. Monitor the results of sales activities against planned objectives. Report the results to senior management and implement corrective actions as necessary.
4. Build long-term relationships with existing and prospective customers, including key personnel in engineering, R&D, manufacturing, and purchasing.
5. Identify and communicate customer product and technology requirements to appropriate Product and R&D personnel.
6. Achieve assigned sales, account development, and other targets.
7. Function as a key participant in sales negotiations with major customers in closing sales.
8. Develop forecasting plans.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise:
1. Thorough understanding of industrial market of EMEA.
2. Advanced verbal communication skills, including group presentation, negotiation, and influencing.
3. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with customers, distributors, sales representatives, and managers.
4. Advanced knowledge of consultative sales approach and closing techniques.
5. Ability to prepare complex written reports and other documents.
6. Proven record of a successful team leader is preferred.
7. Work from home and set schedule accordingly.
8. Must be able to travel between home and various domestic customer locations.
9. Expected travel is approximately 50%+
10. Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline (Master’s Degree in a technical field or MBA is desired).
11. Relevant electrical/electronic manufacturing product and industry knowledge preferred.
12. 8+ years’ experience in components/systems sales for OEMs.
