Clinical To assess, diagnose, plan and implement therapy programmes from a clinical options for an individual caseload. To participate in the discharge planning process. To demonstrate highly developed physical skills inclusive of dexterity, co-ordination and sensory skills to carry out physiotherapy assessment and interventions including manual physiotherapy techniques and therapeutic handling. To work as an autonomous practitioner to be professionally and legally responsible and accountable for all aspects of your own clinical and non-clinical activity associated with individual patient care. To plan and organise activity with appropriate time scheduling in order to complete all clinical and administrative duties including statistical record keeping. To be responsible for clinical record keeping in accordance with the physiotherapy guidelines for documentation and legal requirements. To be responsible for the correct and safe use of the physical environment including equipment and to be responsible for the allocation of these resources. To contribute towards the provision of flexible and timely services which will include working across a 6 day week. To attend mandatory training and to adhere to all Healthsahre policies and procedures as they pertain to personnel, health & safety and child, elder protection issues and continuing health care needs. To participate and contribute to all activities associated with physiotherapy clinics in response to current trends and changes within the health service. To achieve effective communication with managers and colleagues both within the specialism in relation to service need and clinical issues incorporating participation in multi professional meetings Communication To communicate with clients and their carers, information regarding diagnosis, treatment plans and expected goals. To communicate complex and sensitive information in an understandable format to patients, carers Health, Safety and Security To maintain safe clinical practice in diagnosis and treatment and report any incidents, accidents and near misses in accordance with the Healthshare Incident Policy. To ensure own safety and the safety of all others within the working environment and comply with all Healthshare policies and procedures to protect the health, safety and welfare of anyone affected by the Healthshares business. To ensure that equipment provided for the protection of health and safety is maintained and used appropriately and comply with emergency procedures relevant to your practice. To attend all Mandatory Training with regard to fire, health and safety, manual handling and control of infection Quality and clinical Governance As a term of your employment within Healthshare, you can be required to undertake such other duties commensurate with your grade / band and / or hours of work at your initial place of work or at any other of the organisations establishments, as may be reasonably required of you.
