The Role
As a Legal Support Executive, you will be supporting the purchase, sale & title transfer transactions managed by a Solicitor or Paralegal. You will work closely with the team to expedite cases efficiently, upholding the high client service standards. Additionally, you will liaise with our valued clients, understanding their requirements, and supporting all cases in line with the department and firm’s service level agreements.
As a Legal Support Executive, you will have dedicated 1-1 support with your supervising Paralegal and Solicitor whilst working alongside the department's Legal Assistants.
The role demands you to be proactive and client-focused with a positive attitude & flexible approach. You should be a strong team player capable of showcasing a good understanding of Property Law in a support capacity.
Key Responsibilities
* Working solely with the Solicitor/Paralegal to provide excellent support and smooth running of their caseload
* Liaising with clients, lenders, solicitors and other third parties throughout the transaction
* Lodging advance notices for sale and purchase transactions
* Requesting loan funds and dealing with lenders
* Issuing legal documentation for signing by clients
* Lodging LBTT submissions to Revenue Scotland
* Managing mortgage offers
* Requesting redemption statements from various lenders
* Requesting factoring information from various Factors
* Requesting search reports for transactions
* Various other support tasks for Solicitor/Paralegal as required
Qualifications
Must have experience in a Conveyancing team.
Ability to collaborate effectively and problem solve.
