Job Description
* Oversee all payroll functions ensuring accuracy and timeliness
* Manage and resolve issues relating to payroll production
* Ensure compliance with payroll tax laws and employment legislations
* Perform account balance and payroll reconciliations
* Prepare reports for management on payroll matters
* Work closely with the HR department to ensure accurate HR records
* Assist with internal and external audits as required
* Participate in continuous improvement initiatives within the payroll team
The Successful Applicant
A successful Payroll Officer should have:
* A solid understanding of payroll and payroll tax laws
* Experience with payroll systems and HR databases
* A background in accounting or finance
* Excellent numerical skills and attention to detail
* Strong problem-solving abilities
