What you'll do
This role is to support the onsite merchandising team in delivering a world-class online customer experience in line with the set commercial objectives and digital strategy. Managing the delivery of the customer experience across all channels including web, tablet, mobile, and app. This is an exciting role in a fast-paced environment and a candidate with a high level of self-motivation and drive who is happy to manage multiple priorities and deliver to a high standard.
* Planning and executing key campaign and promotional events on site.
* Working with the marketing and trade activity team to ensure aligned customer experience across all channels.
* Review the website (site merchandising) daily to ensure we are presenting the best customer experience to our customers across all devices.
* Support in ensuring all promotions including sale are correctly set up and executed.
* Collaborate with the M&S Chennai Site Merchandising team to deliver the customer journey and on-site experience to quality standards and timelines.
* Support the Merchandising Manager in weekly performance probes and make recommendations to drive sales and conversion.
* Identify opportunities for customer journeys, products, and development.
* Identify daily and weekly trends in trade numbers and make recommendations.
* Monitor and analyse key web analytics to make recommendations to improve the customer journey.
Who you are
* Passionate about online with a willingness and desire to learn new things with a can-do attitude and a drive to do the right thing for the customer.
* Attention to detail is a must with strong prioritisation skills and the ability to plan & work to deadlines.
* Confident working across larger teams as well as independently.
* Ability to analyse and report information.
* Understanding of trading, merchandising, and promotions.
* Ability to develop relationships with appropriate areas within M&S.com and the Business Units.
* Understanding of natural search/SEO and other key marketing levers would be beneficial.
* Good level of Microsoft Office skills.
