Job Responsibility:
Carbon Rewind is a national installer of energy efficient measures aimed at reducing heating bills and carbon emissions for homeowners and tenants. We are actively working with energy suppliers and local authorities to improve the thermal efficiency of properties. Our head office is based in Watford, and we have warehouses in Cornwall and Wokingham.
We are seeking a dedicated and versatile Operations Operative to join our team in Cornwall. This dual-role position requires an individual who can efficiently handle warehouse operations while also performing general administrative duties. The ideal candidate will be organised, proactive, and capable of managing multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
The Role:
Warehouse Duties:
1. Receiving and Processing Shipments: Unload, inspect, and verify incoming goods; accurately record and store inventory.
2. Order Fulfillment: Pick, pack, and prepare orders for dispatch, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
3. Inventory Management: Conduct regular stock counts and maintain accurate inventory records.
4. Safety and Maintenance: Ensure the warehouse is clean, organised, and complies with safety standards; report any hazards or equipment issues.
5. Equipment Operation: Safely operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.
6. Driving: Making occasional deliveries of equipment to nearby sites.
General Administrative Duties:
1. Data Entry: Accurately input and update information in company databases and systems.
2. Document Management: Organise and maintain files, records, and other documentation.
3. Customer Service: Assist with customer inquiries via phone, email, and in-person; provide exceptional service and resolve issues promptly.
4. Office Support: Assist with scheduling, correspondence, and other general office tasks as needed.
5. Reporting: Generate and distribute routine reports related to inventory and other warehouse activities.
