Role Highlights: Full-time, permanent position at a new and innovative SEN school in Enfield Teach Food Technology to students with a range of special educational needs, including autism, moderate learning difficulties, and social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Food Technology lessons that are differentiated to meet the needs of all students Use a variety of teaching methods to ensure students are engaged and develop practical skills in food preparation, hygiene, and nutrition Support students’ social and life skills through food-based projects, encouraging teamwork, communication, and independence Work closely with teaching assistants, SENCO, and other staff to ensure a holistic approach to student development Monitor student progress and provide tailored interventions to support their growth Experience & Qualifications: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent Experience teaching Food Technology at secondary level, ideally with students who have SEN Strong understanding of the Food Technology curriculum and the ability to adapt it for students with diverse learning needs A passion for food education and using it as a tool for student development Excellent communication, classroom management, and organizational skills A patient, adaptable, and creative approach to teaching students with additional needs Enhanced DBS check required Why Join Us?
