The Corporate and Strategic Finance team partners with the CEO, CFO, COO and CXO, and their respective teams. The team consists of high-performing finance professionals who, in addition to providing technical expertise and setting policy in the fields of Tax, Treasury and External reporting, support and drive the business in Property, Procurement, Operational Excellence and strategic projects, whilst business partnering the Corporate Functions. The overall team is further responsible for setting the Group planning agenda and strategic plan and driving the results to balance the needs of the business and the shareholder.

As Assistant Financial Accountant your role is responsible for the delivery of high quality outputs across the following areas:
8. Preparation of specific areas of the periodic and quarterly reporting to CKA
9. Preparation of Greene King Limited account disclosures
10. Preparation of subsidiary statutory accounts and associated disclosures
11. Preparation and posting of subsidiary periodic journals
12. Preparation of subsidiary balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring that all balances are supported
13. Assisting the auditors in providing supporting documentation and assisting with their queries
14. Support with understanding and maintaining the consolidation system
15. Where relevant, utilise and embed the use of the reporting system in the external reporting requirements
16. Assisting the Group Finance Manager on ad-hoc reporting and analysis
17. Continuing to develop own talents and strengths and address any areas of self-development
18. Building relationships across the finance community, particularly with the Centre of Excellence
19. Developing strong relationships with the team and the auditors
You will need to be...
20. Studying towards an ACA or ACCA qualification
21. Analytical skills – able to use multiple sources of data to support decision making
22. Able to form and develop relationships across the wider Greene King business, and with auditors
23. Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
24. Experienced with finance and ERP software together with a strong knowledge of reporting tools
25. Ability to flex with changing priorities
