We are looking to recruit a Project Manager on a 6-month contract, working from home with occasional visits to the client site in Harwell, Oxford.

Purpose of the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our team in the delivery of expert project, programme, and portfolio support to a key client. The Project Manager will be accountable to the Programme Lead and/or Senior Project Manager and will be responsible for the management and oversight of their scope of works.
Responsibilities:
1. Managing individual Service Packages and/or scopes of work as per agreed plans and deliverables.
2. Ensuring that the interdependencies and interfaces with other Service Packages, projects, stakeholders, and the Authorities are suitably addressed.
3. Deputising for and/or representing the Programme Lead or Senior Project Manager.
4. Coordinating and managing workshops.
5. Monitoring and reporting progress against scheduled activities.
6. Proactively managing change, risks, issues, opportunities, and dependencies.
7. Processing and expediting document deliverables.
8. Preparation of the weekly and monthly dashboard reports and metrics.
Experience:
1. A track record of holding a project delivery type role on technology or delivery-based programmes.
2. Experience of applying user requirements and programme objectives to a project, driving business cases and management of customer objectives.
3. Experience in project management, project controls, and contract management.
4. Working knowledge of all aspects of project management including risk management, change management, and mitigation techniques.
5. Working knowledge of schedule management and techniques to interrogate and proactively manage interdependencies.
6. Experience seeing projects through the full lifecycle.
7. Strong familiarity with project management software tools, methodologies, and best practices.
