The Role: Reporting directly to the Managing Director, the Operations Manager plays an integral role within the Senior Leadership Team and is responsible for managing production operations (Manufacturing, Supply chain, Sub-Contract, Quality & Planning) at one of our sites, along with contributing to the achievement of organisational objectives. This role is responsible for implementing the correct processes and practices within their teams, to deliver the successful delivery of projects to required timescales & standards, improving process and productivity, whilst working with the client/customer to deliver their programme requirements. Coordinate Manufacturing Operations with Production Supervisors & Team Leaders to ensure all teams are working efficiently & effectively. Account management of customers to ensure that your teams have a full understanding of their requirements. Forge excellent customer relations through clear communication and support. Continually assess production methods, processes and materials to improve productivity, implement new processes to improve production rates, lower cost and improve quality. Report at Production, Project and Client meetings. Ensure ongoing compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations within the manufacturing facility. To report back to management on schedule adherence with regular meetings. Manage facilities and coordinate maintenance activities. P&L responsibility and ownership of the financial performance of the business unit. Setting financial budgets for the year and reporting results to management on Actual V Budget. Presentation of results and budgets to financial providers. Continuous improvement of dashboard to ensure successful reporting to management and financial providers. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills to liaise with senior management, staff, and external stakeholders. Ability to work collaboratively across departments (engineering, HR, finance) to achieve operational goals. Strong analytical skills to assess performance data and implement corrective actions.
