Job Details: Investments, Capital and Treasury Manager
Vacancy Name: Investments, Capital and Treasury Manager
Employment Type: Permanent
Location: London
Role Details: We are looking for an Investments, Capital & Treasury Manager.
Who are we? Ki is the biggest global insurance tech company you’ve never heard of, unless you’ve been looking to insure a satellite, wind farm or music festival recently. Having written over $877m in gross written premium in 2023, we’ve achieved significant growth since our beginnings in 2021. Our investors were excited about the fact we were revolutionising the way a 333 year-old industry was working. Together with partners at Google and UCL we developed Ki and created a platform that helps insurance brokers place risk in a fast and frictionless way. We’re continuing to lead the charge on the digitisation of this market and we need more excellent minds to work with us to realise this goal and create more opportunities.
What you will be working on: The position will involve providing support to the Head of Investments and Capital while collaborating closely with the Investment Accounting, Risk Management, Finance, Capital Modelling teams, and other areas of the organization, including third-party Investment Managers, banking partners, and Lloyd’s of London. You will be responsible for overseeing key Investment, Treasury, and Capital Management processes, while also maintaining and enhancing the data and systems used to monitor investment performance and portfolio analytics across all asset classes that support the Ki business.
In this role, you will lead the production of both regular and ad-hoc reports for Ki stakeholders and investors. Additionally, you will incorporate liability and risk data into investment reporting, perform scenario testing, and facilitate decision-making. You will play a key role in formulating and implementing investment strategies, collaborating with the capital modelling and risk teams to monitor capital requirement forecasts for Ki, as well as assessing structuring and cost options related to financing proposals.
About you: Ideally, you’ll possess a university degree, preferably with a strong background in Mathematics, Economics, Finance, or other quantitative disciplines. Professional qualifications such as CFA, FIA, or similar designations would be highly advantageous. You’ll have substantial experience in investment management whether in an insurance company, investment firm, private equity organization, or consultancy. Proficiency in technical and numerical skills is essential, along with advanced Excel skills for report and database creation. Coding skills would also be considered a valuable asset. A solid understanding of asset-liability management and portfolio selection is important.
We are looking for an individual who demonstrates a genuine interest in investment markets, is highly motivated, confident, and possesses a strong work ethic. You’ll be capable of managing your workload independently and taking initiative. Familiarity with Bloomberg would be an additional benefit.
Our culture: Inclusion & Diversity is at the heart of our business at Ki. We recognise that diversity in age, race, gender, ethnicity, sexual orientation, physical ability, thought and social background bring richness to our working environment. No matter who you are, where you’re from, how you think, or who you love, we believe you should be you.
You’ll get a highly competitive remuneration and benefits package. This is kept under constant review to make sure it stays relevant. We understand the power of saying thank you and take time to acknowledge and reward extraordinary effort by teams or individuals.
If this sounds like a role and a culture that appeals to you, let us know.
