MMC is seeking candidates for the following position in Mumbai/London/Austin
Claims IT Leader
What can you expect:
1. You will have the responsibility of overseeing current global Claims platform roll-outs, ensuring that all deliverables are implemented on time and within budget. This will involve closely monitoring the progress of these roll-outs and taking necessary actions to ensure their successful completion.
As part of your role in defining the Claims roadmap, you will regularly review new Claims capability requests. This includes evaluating whether existing platforms and solutions are still suitable for their intended purpose. If necessary, you will propose the addition of new technologies to enhance the Claims capabilities.
2. You will champion the agile implementation methodology, delivering end-to-end, customer-centric Technology products using a wide range of Agile standards, solutions, and best practices, also introducing test-driven and behavior-driven development. Building applications with an outstanding user experience and user adoption will be the essential Tech evaluation criteria for you.
3. You will be responsible for reorganizing an existing team of 200+ internal and external resources located in NYC, Mumbai and Austin, TX to focus most of their time developing code. You will be at the forefront of the Marsh Tech brand, developing Tech colleague's skill set that ensures innovative solutions in an agile way.
4. Using Objective and Key Results (OKRs), you will drive the end-to-end Technology product design and implementation being a significant part of the current Technology operating model transformation
5. Being a cross-functional collaborator interfacing with MMC Enterprise Technology partners, Marsh-Operations, and –Transformation Office will come naturally to you building a new set of reusable IT Microservices connected via a well-defined API structure.
6. As the IT director responsible for global claims applications, you will collaborate with all stakeholders across the company, which requires you to be an outstanding communicator in oral and written forms, conveying technical complex information and concepts in easily understood terms to business and operations partners.
7. You will think strategically, critically, and creatively to present optimal solutions, roadmaps, and release management options across Marsh's technology stack; therefore, you must possess deep technical expertise besides being an inclusive leader and developer of an IT talent company.
8. In addition, you will own all aspects of Run, Enhance and Change the business.
9. Your focus is to build diverse, agile teams and reusable Claims IT capabilities across all areas of Marsh Tech.
10. Embedding security in the solution architecture and development lifecycle will be your responsibility to reduce future application vulnerabilities to a minimum.
11. You will reorganize your team focusing on run and change colleagues and external team members to implement agile as the principal implementation lifecycle methodology.
12. You will develop a cloud and container first approach when creating new applications for Marsh Tech, including cloud-supported business continuity and disaster recovery solutions
Summary or Responsibilities:
13. Develop and operationalize the information technology strategy related to Claims applications, recommending short-and long-term IT goals to business and operations leaders.
14. Manage all phases of multiple projects of very high significance by defining project structure, phasing, resource plans, and activity schedules
15. Own the transformation from project to product-aligned organizational structure and execution
16. Create a team that can drive transformational change and innovation while balancing and meeting business objectives in regard to the portfolio business case
17. Ensure and meet all business strategies and process improvements using automation that enable growth and flexibility for years to come; ensure the health of the portfolio and all times putting the right processes in place for risk mitigation, and problem resolution
18. Develop long-term organizational plans to ensure early management of future projects and engage with all levels in the client organization to build and maintain relationships
19. Mobilize a well-thought-through program increment plan to link agile deliverables to business prioritization and benefits
20. Provide expert and strategic advice to members of the Operations & IT senior leadership team on all technology matters affecting the strategic portfolio
21. Coach, mentor, and develop a team of IT professionals, leading them to meet or exceed the company's expectations for productivity, quality, and achievement, building innovative, cutting-edge IT solutions
22. Demonstrate a management style that encourages mentorship, teamwork, participation, and communication using a wide range of diverse leadership styles. Empower the teams to succeed and be a servant leader to assist in removing roadblocks.
23. Develop and operationalize the information technology strategy related to Client Management, recommending short-and long-term IT goals to business and operations leaders.

28. Approve estimation of schedule, cost, and effort based on continuous stakeholder validations

What you need to have:
49. Significant and substantial Agile delivery experience & mind-set and global stakeholder management
50. Proven track record successfully implementing a large number of Tech deliverables simultaneously
51. Direct Agile delivery experience for large platforms, ideally with low/no-code platforms
52. Substantial experience as a senior manager having managed extensive innovation or IT migration programs/portfolios
53. Proven demonstration of leadership capabilities managing large teams, including the development of next-generation IT talent
54. Ability to quickly create value within a fast-paced, complex work environment
55. Superb program management skills, with a demonstrated ability to prioritize a large number of tasks simultaneously to complete work on time
56. Superior communication skills, oral and written
57. Insurance/Finance experience preferred but not essential
58. Master's or advanced education in a related field
