KS3 Class Teacher – Specialist School in Richmond Are you passionate about working with students with special educational needs (SEN) and committed to making a positive impact on their educational journey? Our specialist school in Richmond is seeking a dedicated and compassionate KS3 Class Teacher to join our team and support students in reaching their full potential. About the Role As a KS3 Class Teacher, you will work as an integral part of a collaborative team, closely collaborating with teaching assistants, therapists, and other specialists to deliver a curriculum tailored to the individual needs of students. You will provide high-quality, inclusive education in a supportive and nurturing environment, promoting independence and building students' confidence. Key Responsibilities: Plan, deliver, and assess engaging lessons that are differentiated to meet the diverse needs of students with varying learning difficulties. Develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) to address the unique needs of each student. Monitor and track student progress, offering feedback and adjusting teaching strategies to ensure effective learning. Create a positive, inclusive classroom atmosphere that encourages student participation, self-confidence, and active learning. Work collaboratively with the wider team, including support staff and external professionals, to implement interventions and strategies that support student success. Foster the development of students' academic, social, and life skills in alignment with their individual capabilities. What We’re Looking For: We are looking for a teacher who: Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification. Has experience teaching KS3 students, ideally within a specialist or SEN setting. Demonstrates a strong understanding of SEN and is skilled in differentiating lessons for students with diverse learning needs. Possesses excellent communication and teamwork skills and is committed to fostering an inclusive, supportive learning environment. Is dedicated to creating a positive, engaging classroom atmosphere that enables students to thrive academically, socially, and personally. Is motivated to continue developing professionally and is open to ongoing training and development.
