Post holders will work (35 hours) a week during the evenings, weekends and public holidays plus night time standbys on a rota shift system with occasional daytime meetings. The post involves hybrid working. An on call allowance is paid for night time standbys and working out of hours. The post is for a fixed term of two years. The grade is currently subject to job evaluation.
Diploma in Social Work or equivalent, with a minimum of three years post qualifying experience. A balance of professional skills is necessary for this generic service. A strong knowledge of primary legislation is required, MHO accreditation, an understanding of other care group settings and emergency duty experience are desired.
