White Label Recruitment are currently working in partnership with a leading Pump business that specialises in new pumps as well as the service and repair of pumps. They work with Water, Quarries, Power, Land, Ports Utilities, and Poultry industries, to name a few.
They are now looking to take on an Area Sales & Service Engineer to be based in the North or Midlands to develop new business, which may also involve some hands-on work as the company's specialist for the area.
The Role
1. Have a big focus on developing new business for the company, as well as growing current accounts.
2. This role will involve 70% sales and 30% service work, as it may require getting in the tools sometimes to fix it there and then or to see the problem.
3. Responsible for site surveys, estimates, technical support, understanding customer requirements, providing quotes, and promoting sales/business.
4. Establishing great customer relationships.
5. Liaise with the team of Site Engineers for work.
6. Home-based position mainly focusing on North and Midlands, but may sometimes require travel UK wide.
The Person
1. This person must have a strong background in the pump/pumping industry.
2. Must have excellent business development and sales skills with a proven track record in opening doors and winning business.
3. Strong mechanical engineering skills.
4. Ability to install, fault find, and/or service equipment and be happy to be hands-on as needed.
5. Good mix of projects, service, and sales experience ideally.
6. Be able to produce own quotations.
7. Excellent technical and communication skills are key as they could be speaking to a customer to provide solutions.
8. Must have a proactive attitude with lots of drive and determination.
The Package
1. £45k - 55k annual salary.
