Higher Level Teaching Assistant
We are seeking a skilled Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join our team at New Barn School, part of Acorn Education.
Job Summary
The ideal candidate will have experience in supporting teachers with lesson planning and delivery, as well as contributing to the development and implementation of support plans for students.
Main Responsibilities:
* Assist teachers in offering mentoring support, training, and guidance to other teaching assistants.
* Contribute to the preparation and planning of lessons, including developing resources and opportunities for students to learn in school and out-of-school contexts.
* Support and promote the learning, personal development, safeguarding, and wellbeing of all students.
* Ensure recording and reporting across the school is completed to a high standard.
* Lead, promote, and model the ethos, work, and aims of the school.

New Barn School offers a broad, balanced, and relevant curriculum to boys and girls aged 6-19 years who have Social, Emotional, and Mental Health complexities.
The school takes full advantage of its beautiful setting and fosters a love for using the outdoor curriculum, including forest school, farm experiences, and horse riding.
