SPECIALIST YOUNG PERSONS WORKER, UNACCOMPANIED ASYLUM-SEEKING CHILDREN SERVICE, PERMANENT, 37 HPW, FRWK10 £26,076 £28,447 FTE We are recruiting a Specialist Young Persons Worker to coordinate the support identified on a co-produced support plan with Unaccompanied Asylum-Seeking Children who are Looked After by Nottinghamshire Childrens Services. The aim is to ensure that all support needs are comprehensively met by linking in relevant support services, working alongside a Nottingham Refugee Forum worker and supporting young people with their asylum status. Facilitating the development of young peoples life skills and building on the strengths that they already possess is key, as is an understanding of Trauma Informed Care. Experience of working with young people in an accommodation or youth work setting is desirable. The role involves shift work, including some weekends and evenings.
