About the Role:
We're seeking experienced Safeguarding Social Workers to join our Children's Services team at Worcestershire County Council. You'll play a vital role in safeguarding and promoting the welfare of vulnerable children and young people.
Key Responsibilities:
* Work with children subject to Child Protection Plans, supporting families to address identified concerns.
* Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team, including substance abuse workers, domestic violence workers, and emotional health and wellbeing workers.
* Chair core groups and regularly assess family progress.
* Support families in reducing risks and diverting from court proceedings.
* Undertake parenting and risk assessments to inform future planning.
* Initiate care proceedings when necessary and work towards securing permanence for children within the 26-week timescale.

Essential Requirements:
* Social Work England registration.
* Relevant social work qualifications (Degree or Diploma level).
* Significant experience in child protection work.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
* Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
Experience:
* UK Social Work: 2 years (required)
Licence/Certification:
* Social Work England (required)
