My Client is recruiting for a Senior Process Engineer in the Water Sector

The Role:
As a Senior Process Engineer, you will deliver the process design content of water industry projects as part of a multi-disciplined Water Design Team.
You will work on a wide variety of water & wastewater projects from feasibility and optioneering through to detailed designs for construction.
Your role as a Senior Process Engineer will be to work collaboratively with other engineers across the business. You will be responsible for providing the process engineering design including identifying unit processes and systems, producing process calculations and flow diagrams, flow and mass balances, and technical documents.
Responsibilities:
Develop process engineering solutions to meet the requirements of the project scope and client specifications
Deliver process engineering design, including process calculations, flow and mass balances, process flow diagrams
Input into Process and Instrumentations diagrams and control philosophies
Analysis of sampling and site data to inform process design solutions
Work collaboratively with members of the multi-disciplinary project team
Provide and communicate the process design element within a multi-disciplinary team
Prepare and review technical reports and other written documents including supplier specifications
Good understanding of Water Industry Standards, statutory regulatory and non-regulatory requirements. This includes CDM, WIMES, HAZOP, DSEAR, COSHH
Active participant in SWIFT and HAZOP studies. Where required undertake the Scribe / Secretary role.
Undertake site visits and process surveys
Input into process commissioning plans and sampling programmes.
Provide process design support to the site team during the construction and commissioning stages
Engage with the Client and other third parties, including suppliers
Awareness of health & safety, environment and sustainability within proposed designs
Awareness off resource, budget and programme requirements on projects.
Keep up to date with industry best practice and technical innovations, and incorporate into design solutions where possible
Supervise the work of early career process engineers, providing technical guidance and a check and review process.
Assist the Principal Process Engineer in developing the Process Team though training and mentoring.Skills & Experience
Demonstrable experience in the design and optimisation of water and / or wastewater treatment processes from concept to detailed design.
Experience of working on site to undertake site surveys, optimisation of process systems and process commissioning.
Willing to travel to site and Client offices.
Computer literate and conversant with MS Office suite. Ability to use process modelling software desirable.
Experience of Water Recycling / Reuse
Experience of HAZOP studies as a team member and scribe / secretary.
Experience of DSEAR desirable
Excellent written and oral communication skills. Able to produce technical reports in clear, concise English and communicate technical proposals clearly and concisely.
A team player and communicator who can provide the process technical expertise and direction to a multi-disciplinary team and adhere to project timelines.
Able to work on own initiative.
Able to run several projects simultaneously.
A desire to develop existing technical skills and an enthusiasm to embrace and participate in career development initiatives.
Member of the IChemE (MIChemE) and registered as a Chartered Engineer (CEng) with the Engineering Council. Equivalent grades for CIWEM acceptable
