Job summary The role of the Regional Lead Midwife is an exciting midwifery leadership role in the East of England Region to support the Regional Chief Midwife. Working to realise the ambitions of the Long-Term Plan and key national maternity priorities, the postholder will work with key stakeholders across the health system to provide strategic leadership and professional guidance regionally. They will hold responsibility for the delivery of key objectives including leading on the maternity workforce and leadership agenda, new hospital programme and support programmes of work relating to maternity policy, strategy and professional priorities and the delivery of high quality, safe and personalised health and care across the region. Working as part of a dynamic team engaging with colleagues, managers, senior staff and LMNS Leads across the region to support the provision of personalised, safe evidence based maternity care for all women across the East of England. Main duties of the job As a Maternity Lead the post holder will work as part of a dynamic team in delivering an effective service supporting managers and staff across the region Will lead by example ensuring collaborative approaches to working and relationships are at the forefront of practice.
