We are looking for a motivated and dedicated individual to join our team as a Deputy Manager at our Children's Home. If you have a passion for making a positive impact on the lives of children and young people, this is an excellent opportunity for you.
Position: Deputy Manager (Children's Home)
Salary: Up to 35,000
Responsibilities:
Assist the Manager in overseeing the daily operations of the Children's Home, providing care and support to children and young people with diverse backgrounds and needs, including Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD).
Support and guide the care staff in providing high-quality care tailored to the individual needs of each child and young person.
Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, policies, and procedures to maintain a safe and nurturing environment.
Contribute to the development and implementation of individualized care plans, working collaboratively with external professionals and families.
Build positive relationships with children, families, and external stakeholders, promoting effective communication and partnership.
Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of services, identifying areas for improvement and implementing appropriate measures.
Maintain accurate records and documentation in accordance with statutory requirements.
Requirements:
NVQ Level 3 in Children and Young People (or equivalent qualification)
Previous experience in a similar role within a residential childcare setting
Strong leadership and communication skills
A genuine passion for working with children and young people, including those with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD)
Knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations
Ability to work effectively within a team, promoting a collaborative and supportive environment
