Hair Salon Technician - The Role: Are you passionate about hairdressing and eager to inspire the next generation of stylists? Wiltshire College & University Centre is looking for a dedicated Hair Salon Technician to join our team at the Salisbury campus. As a Hair Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the seamless operation of our Hair salons and theory rooms. The working pattern for this role is: Mon - 8.30-14.00 Tues - 8.30-16.30 Wed - 8.30-14.00 Thurs - 12.00-20.00 Fri - off Hair Salon Technician - Key Responsibilities: Your responsibilities will include: Maintaining Salon Efficiency: Ensure the cleanliness and orderliness of the Hair salons and theory rooms. Managing Appointments: Oversee the reception area, assess students on reception duties, and monitor client appointments. Preparing for Success: Prepare products and equipment for hair treatments and manage sterilising cabinets and associated materials for classes and salon sessions. Stock Control: Conduct weekly stock checks to ensure we are well-equipped for all salon activities. Student Support: Provide guidance and support to students, contributing to their individual learning plans. Client Interaction: Handle general enquiries from students and clients, ensuring a welcoming and professional salon environment. Hair Salon Technician - You: To excel in this role, you will have: Relevant Experience: Previous experience in a similar role within the hairdressing industry. Qualifications: Level 2/3 in Hair or equivalent. An Assessor qualification (D32/33, A1, or equivalent) is highly desirable. Health & Safety Knowledge: A solid understanding of current Health and Safety requirements and basic first aid knowledge. Organisational Skills: Exceptional organisational skills with a high degree of accuracy. Team Player: Strong teamwork skills with the ability to build rapport easily with colleagues, students, and clients.
