Job Description ROLE PURPOSE The Replenishment function is accountable for ensuring UK medicines are available and balanced throughout the Pfizer DTP network of distribution centres to avoid obsolescence and ensure maximum availability to all customers at all times. The Replenishment function also closely manages items in short supply to maintain availability to all patients for as long as possible. Key Accountabilities Manage Replenishment of Logistics Service Provider (LSP) Responsible for updating replenishment supply parameters and aligning with LSPs in order to optimize inventory levels and maximize customer service. Regularly review and adjust parameters to align with changing patterns of demand Manage LSP requisitions to meet established maximum and minimum inventory levels per sku and any requisitions outside of parameters, utilizing returns to pre-LSP or branch transfers only as a last resort ensuring the transaction is tracked through to completion when doing so. Maintain effective communication with LSP depots such that expectations are successfully managed and critical relationships prosper. Assist with new product launch plans and other product lifecycle changes, such as change of ownership or material code changes, as and when required. Track expiry dating of critical items and define actions to avoid obsolete inventory. Estimate the potential for possible obsolescence, coordinate with the Demand Manager (DM) and record appropriately Managing Stock Shortages Interact on a daily basis with DM and Customer Contact Centre to communicate stock/regulatory issues and conclude the best approach for mitigation. Management of the Manufacturing Shortfall process for SKUs in short supply or with anticipated supply issues. Chair a weekly review meeting of all items in short supply and publish the minutes. Work with Demand Manager to identify deliveries of items in short supply and expedite the process to release and make available to customers. Systems Management Ensure visibility of market inventory information through the established replenishment systems Maintain the Access Pfizer stock portal for providing stock information to external customers Work with UK Supply Chain team to resolve any stock reconciliation issues Continuous Improvement Complete weekly and monthly KPI reporting and monitoring performance to drive continuous improvement Maintain SOPs as appropriate Assist the UK Supply Chain team in supply managements tasks as required Participate or lead on ad-hoc projects as required and aligned with the UK Supply Chain objectives. Work with other local and regional logistics/supply colleagues and the LSPs to maintain appropriate focus on continuous improvement of the operations with the implementation and support of new strategies, projects and initiatives. Qualifications and Experience Sound general level of education to A’ Level with degree qualification or degree caliber preferred along with a working knowledge of the pharmaceutical supply chain, including a comprehensive knowledge of Pharmacy customers and ideally some knowledge of Pfizer’s product portfolio. Experience of working within a complex environment with multiple stakeholders and conflicting demands on time. Articulate and able to Communicate effectively at all levels within the organization. Able to analyze, interpret, collate and present information to a group. High level of IT skills including SAP and Excel. Ability to analyze complex, interdependent data drawing concise conclusions and recommendations. An in-depth knowledge of continuous processes models and techniques, ideally 6 Sigma Yellow belt qualified.
